Leisure and Work

In contrast with work, leisure is also a meaningful activity. Work aims at providing products and services, organizing workers into a social network. However, taking a worker’s everyday life as the centre, leisure reduces the tension and fatigue arising from his work, which recovers his strength, enhances his intelligence, and satisfies his interest. Therefore, a few people say that leisure can be considered as a reproductive activity of an individual person. Leisure is an activity characterized with a specific culture, which embodies people’s obvious personal likes. All things in the world have their dual natures. Leisure is dealt relatively with work. Gardening workers grow flowers as their work, while non-gardening workers do the same thing as leisure. Calligraphers take calligraphy and painters take painting respectively as their work, while amateurs do the same thing as leisure.
